2022 i4Kids Symposium Registration & Abstract Submission

The i4Kids symposium will overview current goals and achievements of the Institute in addition to featuring exciting collaborative research. Participants will have the opportunity to network with potential collaborators. We encourage researchers to submit abstracts to be selected for poster session or oral presentation. The event will include a continental breakfast, lunch, and networking reception.

Call for Abstracts

Symposium Abstraction Submission due Tuesday, February 22nd.

Researchers may submit abstracts to be selected for either oral presentation or poster session presentation. All abstracts should be uploaded on the registration form as a Word Document. Abstracts should not exceed 1-page.

Abstracts should follow the downloadable formatting sample template at bottom of this page.

Oral Presentation:

10 minute PowerPoint presentation with 5 minutes of Q&A.

Poster Session Presentation:

Posters should be prepared to fit a maximum of 36" height x 48" width.
Easels and form board with tacks to hang your poster will be provided.
Printing is not provided but you may use Pitt Printing Services.
You may set up your poster at during arrival (10:00am - 10:30am) or during lunch (12:00pm - 1:00pm)
You must be at your poster to present during the poster session (2:00pm - 3:00pm)
Poster 2.0 / Billboard Poster format is optional but highly encouraged. (Sample below)

General FAQ

Is there a registration fee?

No. The symposium registration is free for all attendees.

Will parking be provided?

Yes, parking will be provided for those who do not have access to the North Garage located by Rangos Reseach Center. Please indicate that you will need parking when registering so we can provide your name to our parking staff.

Who should attend the i4Kids Symposium?

Physicians, scientists, trainees, advanced practice providers, administrators and funders interested in pediatric research.

Will participants be required to wear masks?

Yes, all participants are required to wear masks even if they are vaccinated.

Will a virtual hybrid option be offered?

We highly encourage participants to attend in person to network and form new collaborations. We are closely watching CDC and Pitt / UPMC guidelines and more details will follow.

Will the symposium be recorded?

Yes, depending on speaker's permission to record.
